The Periauger Project to construct a replica of an eighteenth-century workboat is a partnership of Perquimans County Restoration Association, Perquimans County, North Carolina Maritime Museum and East Carolina University’s Program in Maritime Studies. When completed, the 1730 Newbold-White House and Historic Hertford will be the home ports. This project was made possible, in part, by Enhancement Monies from The North Carolina Department of Transportation.
